Time to take ole yeller out back and pump him full of silver buck shot. This movie, when I first seen the trailer seemed like it was going to be pretty decent. Good actors and effects and how could you go wrong with the classic story of The Wolfman….but then I remembered we (well society) is still on the vampires and werewolves bandwagon and that this was probably just a simple way to make some quick cash.
The biggest problem with this movie was the script, it was so lame and basic that I’m sure a monkey could have typed this up. It was just so boring! Another issue I had with this was the random scenes that had no meaning what so ever. Really! There was just no point to some of the parts of the movie.
I had hoped with some big names that there might be some decent acting, and I think the actors did an amazing job of acting the shitty script they were given. In no way should this movie be a reflection on these actors…well Benicio Del Toros accent was pretty lame.
The only thing going for this move was the effects (at best). The conversion from Puerto Rican/American/English man to werewolf was pretty good, and if you are looking for some gore then step right up to this 18+ rated movie. However I can’t help but wonder if the script suffered its fate at the messy hands of that gore rating aspect.
